Yoga has been in my life for more than two decades and like many, in the beginning I was drawn to the physicality of the yoga postures, called asana. I welcomed the feeling of vitality, suppleness and strength I gained as an antidote to the long hours spent sitting at my desk job. Over time, I found the more subtle and gradual changes that occur slowly are even more profound. Yoga takes us on a journey of self-discovery. It teaches us self-awareness, to let go of the things that don't serve us and it changes how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. Yoga helps us to release unhealthy attachments and brings us closer to our true essence. It's where we find steadiness, balance and ease - and a sense of coming home.
